teeth unbrushed and fur on tongue
only yesterdays war paint
tangled hair, head low hung
No new memories yet to taint
No make-up, no discuise
A self indulged amateur poet
Picking the crust from my eyes
just an average girl and I no it
So in this moment laugh with me
for clothes yet to be found
The naked girl with her cup of tea
critism I feel is bound
Morning
Lauren Wren-Kent, England Age 24yr
The lonely feelings
The would but now I wont
All of my false expectations
My tears
My anguish
My heartache in the middle of the night
My blistered heart,
All to be exchanged
For the hope that I was waiting
To show up at the door of my heart.
The heart that felt that it could never
Have the true light on the inside.
Now I can sing dance and whisper the words of hope!
For my life, soul and the heart are in the care of love!
